RVM LAW, LLC PREVAILS ON COUNTERCLAIMS AT TRIAL AGAINST MOVING COMPANY OBTAINING $28,571.15 JUDGMENT INCLUDING ATTORNEY’S FEES AND COSTS

RVM Law, LLC attorney Rolf J. von Merveldt, III obtained a victory on counterclaims following a two day trial to court in Denver County Court.  A residential moving company initiated the lawsuit seeking recovery of $7,972.50 in charged back credit card charges arising out of moving services provided to RVM Law, LLC’s client and also sought the recovery of attorney’s fees and costs..  The client counterclaimed with various claims including 1. breach of contract,  2. fraudulent inducement to contract,  3. civil theft, and 4. conversion.

The court found in favor of RVM Law, LLC’s client on all claims awarding no damages to the plaintiff moving company and awarding $17,027.50 in damages and $11,544.00 in attorney’s fees and costs for a total judgment of $28,571.15.  RVM Law, LLC was able to collect all monies owed through post-judgment garnishment proceedings.
